Talking and building relationships is at the heart of all we do, especially for our Peer Staff. Provide 1-hour of support to a woman in shelter, with a Peer Engagement Facilitator who has lived experience of homelessness, poverty, and housing insecurity.

Provides enough hours to cover a full month of initial meet and greet sessions for new clients in shelter, with our Harm Reduction Program Coordinator. This generally includes upwards of 40 client meetings in a month.

"What a week..."
Provides a full week of coverage for a Peer Engagement Facilitator. During this week they will meet with upwards of 30-50 clients, assisting with everything from crisis de-escalation, supporting a healthy shelter stay, system navigation, and emotional supports.

Provides a twin bed for a client's shelter unit. With hundreds of women+ annually, our beds and furniture often take a lot of use/abuse and we replace when needed.

Sleep like a baby.
Give a replacement mattress for a shelter unit. We replace upwards of 10 shelter unit mattresses annually to make sure everyone lays their head on a bed that is safe and secure.

Keeping spaces looking welcoming and secure for the hundreds of women who access the space annually. Provides a full day of needed maintenance support to items within the building, from moving things, to fixing things and everything in between.

Clean Start
A clean space is a more welcoming space! Buy one cleaning supply package. These packages are provided by staff to every new family entering shelter. All items can be used to maintain your shelter unit and can be taken with you when you exit shelter. Our move-out packages provide a fresh start for clients when they transition from shelter into housing.

For those moving, the initial grocery purchase is a huge burden. We provide an emergency food hamper of some basics along with a three day food hamper to get families started. Provide a $25 gift card or items to help a family get their fridge stocked!

Shoot, did we pack a can opener?
For the 100+ families that move from shelter into housing, a foundation is needed. Provide a family exiting shelter with a basic package of things like a can opener, milk container, plates, cutlery, bowls and cups while we connect them with vouchers and programs for the rest!

Proving three meals a day, seven days a week, to over 100 individuals daily means we always need food. Our ability to meet the diverse dietary needs of those we serve depends on our food supplies. Provide access to nourishing meals.

School lunches for 5 children for one week of their shelter stay. Note that a typical shelter stay is approximately 2 months and lunches include a snack, protein, fruit, and are tailored with each family to ensure maximum enjoyment!

Snacks for all kids in shelter for a day. On average, this is 40 kids daily arriving back to shelter after school, hungry, grumpy, and ready for a snack!

No kids program movie or activity night, held weekly, should happen without snacks! This covers 3 months of snacks for kids programming activities, which keeps kids engaged, happy, and ready to learn with our amazing kids program staff!

Shelter Safe!
This covers a $10 per child honorarium for 5 kids in shelter to attend an in-house, 2 hour “Shelter Safe” course to promote kid-friendly and safe shelter stays.

Sexual health and harm reduction bingo are great ways to socialize, create community, learn and share about ways to protect our health. Provide supplies for the 10-20 women weekly who are participating in our weekly Drop-in program.
